External Account Manager X2 (SADC - Midrand) Role Description

Reporting to the SADC Sales Manager the successful candidates will be based in Midrand and will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned customers in the SADC region, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities while finding new key resellers
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all reseller account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting reseller business relationship
  • Ensure that individual and departmental Revenue and GP targets are achieved
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers and sales teams within the reseller’s organization
  • Develop and build strong and realistic sales pipeline
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of sales forecasts
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly & quarterly initiatives to the sales Manager
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • On-board new, key resellers who are not yet trading with Pinnacle
  • Mainly focus on closing enterprise business and opportunities
  • Travel once a month to meet with resellers and have detailed account planning sessions
  • Prepare reports on Account Planning sessions for each customer and follow up on action points
  • Collaborate with the relevant internal teams as well as the vendors to ensure targets are met
  • Ensure that the entire sales process is carried out correctly and timeously from 1st engagement of quote request up until the customer receives their goods
  • Assist finance in collection of payments from resellers
  • Keep abreast of market trends, customer buying behaviors, economic and political situations
    in each country

Requirements

 

  • Matric with mathematics is essential and relevant tertiary qualification
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience in selling Enterprise Solutions (Cloud, Cyber Security, Servers, Storage,
    Networking), as well as Infrastructure (cabling, racks & cabinets)
  • Vaccination Certificate Required
  • Proven work experience as an External Account Manager, Key Account Manager or Sales Account Manager in the SADC region
  • Must have solid business relationships with key resellers in SADC
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholder’s decisions
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets regularly
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Good technical knowledge on enterprise solutions to be able to correctly advise resellers and have enterprise solution discussions
  • Own transport and valid driver’s license
  • Good time management and well organized i.e. deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload
  • Above average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
