Internal Account Manager Role Description

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate, will be based in Cape Town and will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities


  • Responsible for Internal Management of Strategic Accounts 
  • Daily customer account management, including processing all orders 

  • Relationship building with customers and compilation of all quotations 

  • Attend product training and events 

  • Processing of relevant delivery notes and documentation 

  • Updating stock report, backorders and orders received on a daily basis 

  • Liaise with clients as well as partners on daily queries 

  • Liaise with stores/dispatch regarding deliveries of all orders and supply of invoices 

  • Attending to sales calls 

  • Product knowledge of structured cabling, Wireless and Data Center environments 

  • Understanding of IT industry and hardware cabling products 

Skills & Competencies Required


  • Matric with mathematics and a tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma will be an advantage 
  • Minimum three (3) years’ work experience within a data infrastructure industry 

  • Minimum three (3) sales experience with data infrastructure related products 

  • Service quality orientated 

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Relevant technical knowledge
