Post Sales Technician Role Description

Reporting to the Technical Managers, the successful candidate will be based in Cape Town 

 

 

Managing Systems

 

  • Support stock management and Sage ERP updating and maintenance

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide support to Customers 

  • Maintaining of Customers’ Service-Level-Agreements, and Turnaround Times 

  • Offer Warranty support or Repairs per Service-Level-Agreements 

  • Knowledge of CCTV Systems (Hikvision, Milestone, Bosch will be advantageous) 

  • Knowledge of Access Control Systems (IMPRO, ZKT, Virdi, 2N will be advantageous) 

  • Knowledge of Fire Detection and Evac Systems (Bosch, Ziton, Techno switch will be advantageous) 

  • Good understanding of Site Installation knowledge

  • Analysis and Investigation of problems 

  • Testing and troubleshooting of solutions (Hardware and Software) 

  • Assist customers with onsite support queries 

  • On-going Self-training Support and Product knowledge required for further opportunities 

     

     

Requirements

 

  • Grade 12 qualification 
  • Tertiary diploma is essential 

  • A+ certification (N+ an advantage) 

  • Own transport and valid driver’s license is essential 

  • Product certifications (will be advantageous) 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ Security Electronic support related experience

  • Must be willing to travel 

  • Excellent computer literacy / command English language in both written and oral forms 

  • Must be able to work 5 days/week, (Working hours: 08:00am-17:00pm 

  • Knowledge of IT equipment’s problem solving techniques / troubleshooting skills 

  • Working late occasionally when required 

  • Knowledge and understanding of the ICT market will be advantageous 

  • Attend training sessions – during and after working hours when required 

  • Be able to work in a pressured environment 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Good Technical skills 

  • Attention to detail 

  • High level of customer service
