Product Specialist Dell (Midrand) Role Description

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the successful candidates will be based in Midrand and will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Driving Dell product sets internally to the sales teams
  • Increase SOW on Dell
  • Meeting internal SLA’s
  • Achieve Monthly Dell Targets and Budgets
  • Manage relationship with vendor in partnership with the brand team
  • Understanding and driving Dell bid process internally
  • Manage the internal shared quotes mailbox and assist sales staff with quotes / queries
  • Build relationship with the sales teams and Dell brand stakeholders
  • Provide reports and target tracking information as required
  • Engage with all relevant parties at Pinnacle and subsidiary companies
  • Understand and implement Pinnacle strategy and policies in alignment with product
  • Product support (PDF Spec Sheets, Web Info, Sales Support, SAGE product maintenance
  • Responsible for processing all sales backorders on Dell
  • Become a Dell subject matter expert and manage the profitability of products
  • Provide sales support to sales staff
  • Ensure all resources are aligned – communication is key
  • Stay constantly updated with all developments and trends in the market
  • Understand technology roadmaps
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Drive the internal Dell sales and Product processes to achieve targets and act as a bridge between the internal brand team as well as the organization’s sales team

Requirements

 

  • Matric with mathematics, IT or sales and marketing tertiary qualification and/or relevant diploma is essential
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ work experience within an IT environment in a Product role
  • Vaccination Certificate Required
  • Previous IT distribution experience will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the IT market, reseller channels, marketing and promotional strategies is essential
  • Understanding of IT industry and OEM channel
  • Vaccination Certificate Required
