Sales Administrator (SADC Midrand) Role Description

Reporting to the SADC Sales Manager, the successful candidates will be based in Midrand and will be responsible for the following: 

Key Responsibilities


  • Process orders for the sales team on SAGE and check data accuracy in orders and invoices
  • Liaise with the warehouse to ensure orders are picked, packed and sent to dispatch within the given SLA
  • Liaise with dispatch to ensure orders are invoiced and pickup from freight forwarders are arranged within the given SLA
  • Liaise with freight forwarders for delivery dates and Waybill documents
  • Update customers on the delivery of their orders (send Waybill to customers)
  • Assist smaller customers with quotations
  • Continuous communication with key customers to get feedback on our service levels
  • Do Deal registrations for Sales teams & work closely with brands to ensure deal registration / special bid / tender pricing is sent to Sales team within the given SLA
  • Reconcile freight charges to customers with freight charges from freight forwarders to ensure no losses on freight
  • Ensuring customers have access to the Pinnacle portal
  • Sending out promotions and new product updates to customers

  • Matric with mathematics is essential and relevant tertiary qualification
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Proven work experience as an Exports Sales administrator or Sales support agent with a high level of attention to detail
  • Vaccination Certificate Required
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Understanding of exports sales processes (from quotation request stage until customer receives the order)
  • Own transport and valid driver’s license
  • Good time management and well organized i.e. deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload
  • Above average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
