Role Description

Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa

Full-time and Office based

Reporting Line: Brand Director: SSI

Job Purpose

The Brand Executive will develop and implement strategies that effectively communicate and reinforce the brand identity. This includes creating a strong brand image, increasing brand awareness, and fostering positive brand associations among target audiences. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance the reputation, build customer loyalty, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective management of a comprehensive brand management, technical services, and business development team.
  • Take the lead role in vendor relationships and interface into the larger Pinnacle team.
  • Business Strategy Development and Execution.
  • Present strategy as part of a quarterly review.
  • Overall responsibility for vendor stock, sales, and performance. 
  • Leverage vendor programs to maximize rebate opportunity.
  • Own vendor marketing plan and execution.
  • Provide leadership to managers, individual contributors and specialists within the team 
  • Delegate, coach, motivate and mentor team members.
  • Dissemination of targets internally.
  • Manage brand sales funnel and team interactions with vendor.
  • Attend product training and events.
  • Facilitate product training 
  • Generate sales leads and constant follow-up with deals.
  • Identify opportunities to market products and the company. 
  • Liaise with vendor and industry to understand product and market trends and amend plans. accordingly to ensure efficient product life cycle management and maximize opportunities. 
  • Clearly communicate product, market strategy and objectives.
  • Monitor inventory (inventory turns, stock ageing, stock days, obsolesces, stock outs) for stock to meet all key performance indicators. 
  • Negotiate targets, rebates, co-op marketing funds, stock rotation, pricing and supply. 
  • Assisting sales silo managers in developing their account plans in the context of specific brand strategies.
  • Drive customer breadth.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:

  • 5 years’ experience within Brand management is preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience within a Distribution environment is preferred
  • Experience in managing and leading a team and giving direction as well as delegating tasks 
  • Excellent technical knowledge
  • Experience working with Safety, Security and Infrastructure products 
  • 3-5 years in a leadership position managing people

Skills and Education:

  • Matric with mathematics, 
  • A sales and marketing tertiary qualification and/or relevant diploma is essential
  • Above average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and One Note is essential
  • Solid managerial skills 
  • Results and deadline driven
  • Excellent selling skills
  • Ability to present product training
  • Able to present in front of an audience 
  • Ability to carry through a task to completion
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels including high profile clients and projects
