Role Description

Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa

Full-time and Office based

Reporting Line: Brand Executive

Job Purpose

Business development managers are primarily responsible for driving business growth, and duties vary on a day-to-day basis. Typical responsibilities include: Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections. Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive relationship with point of sale & enterprise mobility customers. 
  • Grow share of wallet within these customers. 
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams. 
  • Provide weekly sales forecast to management. 
  • Provide input to product team regarding stock holding. 
  • Working with reseller partners to develop growth strategies and implement these strategies. 
  • Market products and manage the sales process. 
  • Identify and implement market strategies. 
  • Disseminate product information. 
  • Position vendor product set. 
  • Have market knowledge of competitive brands. 
  • Keeping abreast of latest technology 
  • Have knowledge of roadmaps and product life cycles 

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position 

     

  • Knowledge of the IT market, reseller channels, marketing and promotional strategies is essential. 

     

  • Understanding of IT industry and OEM channel

Skills and Education:

  • Matric with mathematics is essential, a tertiary qualification and/or a relevant diploma will be an advantage. 

     

  • Own transport and a valid driver’s license are essential. 

     

  • Good time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload. 

     

  • Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and presentation skills 

     

  • Service quality orientated. 

     

  • Customer focused. 

     

  • Copes effortlessly within a high-stress and pressurized environment. 

     

  • Excellent time management i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload.
