Job Purpose

The Enterprise Pre-Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in executing and furthering the Enterprise

Solutions portfolio strategy by leveraging technical expertise to advise customers, design integrated

solutions, and assist in meeting revenue and profit targets.

This position acts as a technology evangelist, trusted advisor, and thought leader who delivers Enterprise

solutions expertise and sales through customer engagement. The product focus of this position is

private/hybrid cloud, server, and storage technologies, networking, backup, and application virtualisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve applicable industry certifications and ensure they remain current.
• Represent Pinnes and/or Vendor(s) at customer engagements and conferences.
• Assist with customer enablement to drive the Pinnes portfolio value proposition.
• Coach and support fellow Pre-Sales Engineers and Sales teams new to Pinnes portfolio.
• Deliver vendor presentations and training to the Pinnacle Sales teams and customer landscape.
• Propose and professionally demonstrate the Pinnes portfolio products and solutions by means of
presentations, whiteboarding, demos, and "proof-of-concepts".
• Collaborate with the creation and presentation of a business case to all business sponsors (i.e., Clevel
executives, technical partners, etc.) in support of solutions.
• Evangelise the Enterprise solutions portfolio through customer engagement.
• Become entrenched as a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and the Enterprise product portfolio.
• Establish an internal/external business network to ensure sales success and a positive customer
experience.
• Partake in tender evaluation, product/solution recommendation, and pricing.
• Accurately price products/solutions as per vendor or customer requirements.
• Assist in meeting revenue and profit targets.

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:
• Successful track record in technical Pre-Sales of Enterprise infrastructure and software.
• Strong background and understanding of Enterprise storage, servers, backup, networking, virtualisation, converged, hyper-converged, and cloud infrastructures.
• 5+ years’ experience in the design of infrastructure solutions.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Enterprise solution design considerations and tools.
• Appropriate accreditation/certification within Enterprise/Pinnes knowledge and expertise.


Skills andd Education:
• Matric with mathematics is essential and a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
• Above average computer literacy in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
• Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
• Good presentation skills.
• Able to accurately work with numbers and calculations.
• Good time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload.
