Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa Pinnacle

Department: Enterprise Solutions (Pinnes)

Permanent, Full time and Office Based

Reporting: Pinnes HW Business Unit Manager

Job Purpose

As the successful candidate, you will play a pivotal role in executing and furthering the Pinnes Enterprise

Hardware portfolio strategy. The primary focus of this role will be executing, and maintenance of all

administrative and reporting duties related to the Enterprise Hardware portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a relationship with the defined vendors and applicable customers
• Achieve monthly sales and stock targets
• Liaise with vendors and customers to identify new business opportunities
• Provide weekly sales and stock forecasts to management
• Identify, give input into, and assist with the implementation of marketing strategies
• Distribute product and training information to sales and customers
• Track and share market knowledge on competitive vendors
• Display knowledge of roadmaps and product life cycle
• Achieve applicable industry certifications and ensure they remain current
• Represent Pinnacle and/or Vendor(s) at customer engagements and conferences
• Deliver vendor presentations and training to the Pinnacle sales teams and customer landscape
• Become entrenched as a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers
• Partake in tender evaluation, product / solution recommendation, and pricing
• Accurately quote products / solutions as per vendor or customer requirements
• Grow share of wallet of assigned Pinnes products across Pinnacle’s customer base
• Pricelist management
• Ensure vendor orders are placed timeously
• Ensure all SLAs are met timeously
• Provide reports and target tracking as required
• Assist the team with other related functions when and where required
• Understand each vendors rebates and compensation program

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:
• A minimum of 3 years product management experience within the IT industry is essential
• Understanding of forex conversions/calculations
• Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure (server, storage, networking) and software products (hypervisors, backup, application virtualisation) will be an advantage
• Experience in delivery of vendor presentations
• Experience in preparation and presentation of quotations
• Experience in developing go-to-market strategies and sales plans


Skills and Education:
• Matric with mathematics is essential and a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• Above average computer literacy in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
• Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
• Good presentation skills
• Able to accurately work with numbers and calculations
• Good time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload
• High attention to detail
• Well-developed negotiation skills
