Role Description
Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa
Full-time and Office based
Reporting Line: Business Unit Manager: Dell Client
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving internal Dell sales and product processes to achieve targets, acting as a bridge between the internal Brand team, the organization’s Sales teams.
- Driving Dell product sets internally to the sales teams
- Achieve Monthly Dell Targets and Budgets
- Manage relationship with vendor in partnership with the Brand team
- Support both internal Sales teams and vendor according to agreed SLA
- Understand and drive the Dell bid process internally
- Manage the internal quotes mailbox and assist Sales staff with quotes and queries
- Build relationships with the Sales teams and Dell brand stakeholders
- Produce and review reports and target tracking information as required
- Engage with all relevant parties at Pinnacle and subsidiary companies
- Provide product support (PDF Spec Sheets, Web Info, Sales Support, SAGE product maintenance)
- Continuously increase and update knowledge to become a Dell subject matter expert
- Manage the profitability of products
- Provide sales support to Sales staff
- Ensure all resources are aligned and receive relevant communication is key
- Stay constantly updated with all developments and trends in the market
- Understand, use and feed into technology roadmaps
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum 2 – 3 years work experience within an IT environment in a Product/Brand position
- Distribution experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Experience working in an administration focused role or environment will be an advantage
Skills and Education:
- Matric with mathematics is essential
- A diploma or degree in Marketing, Sales or IT will be advantageous
- Above average computer literacy in MS Office
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to use Excel to produce and analyze a business report
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to network, build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Able to work with a diverse range of cultures
- Strong planning, negotiation and execution skills
- Results and deadline driven
- Solid business administration skills including business writing, professional written and verbal communication (good general business acumen)
- Developed administration skills with good attention to detail
- Good time management and ability to effectively prioritize workload
- Enjoy working in a customer-focused role
- Able to manage stress and work in a high-volume and pressurized environment
- Enjoys chasing weekly and monthly targets
- Motivated and willing to go the extra mile
- Displays high energy and has a mature outlook
- Ability to make decisions, render judgment, take action & apply corrective measures
