Reporting: ERP & Sage Manager

Job Purpose
The purpose of a Senior ERP Administrator is to provide support and services related to the ERP software
and digital transformation integrations within the Company. A critical function will be maintaining relevant
procedures and standards and ensuring that systems are efficient and effective.
The role incorporates end-user support, execution of user access requests, troubleshooting and testing ERP and digital transformation applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance, and operations support
• Business Process and Systems Alignments:
o Ensuring that information is shared between branches and retained.
o Procedural information is communicated to all branches and procedures
o Ensuring all divisions has the required resources and training to effectively complete the tasks
o New/ change requests must be documented and communicated for approval and review
o Business Process changes must be updated in accordance with system updates/ changes
• Training and Development:
o Prepare online content for training purposes
o Update training content aligned with change request implementation
o Assist with user training when required
o Create a positive professional perception
• Manage calls logged with Helpdesk:
o Ensure that calls are closed within the SLA times
o Update all calls daily, informing the business of the status of their calls
o Ensure that the answers to unusual problems are saved
• Assist the ERP Manager as required
• Advise users on business applications and aid with the design and implementation of solutions
• Assists in testing solutions before deployment to the production environment
• Produce and provide reports to the Enterprise Resource Planning Manager including data such as:
o Open calls
o System performance
o New development/ change requests
• Take accountability and control of Digital Transformation deliverables:
o Improve on User Access Management (new users, change requests and terminations) with a focus on internal new user audit.

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:
• Minimum of 3 years working experience within an IT/ Distribution environment
• Minimum 3 years of experience working on Sage (Finance, Warehouse, Distribution, Procurement, Product Builder, Manufacturing and Planning)
• Experience in a support function for an ERP system is essential
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts
• Both practical and theoretical knowledge of customer service knowledge in customer services (understanding how to support users with different personality traits)
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Experience conducting presentations and delivering training


Skills and Education:
• Matric is essential
• A tertiary qualification such as a BCOM Degree will be an advantage
• Must be able to use Excel at an intermediate level
• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
• An understanding of business strategy including the relevance of an organization’s goals and objectives
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deliver training and presentations to the Company
• Proven problem-solving abilities
• Time management and planning skills
