Role Description
Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa
Full-time and Office based
Reporting Line: Dell Client BU
Job Purpose
Business development managers are primarily responsible for driving business growth, and duties vary on a day-to-day basis. Typical responsibilities include: Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections. Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels.
- Develop relationships with both the defined set of Dell Technologies Partners and selected resellers.
- Grow share of wallet of Dell branded products across Pinnacle’s customer base with special focus on storage.
- Identify and develop new revenue streams for emerging Dell Technologies into these accounts.
- Provide weekly sales forecast to management.
- Provide input to product team regarding stock holding.
- Work with reseller partners to devise Dell Technologies growth strategies and implementing these strategies.
- Help with marketing strategies and assist with the sales process.
- Identify and help implement market strategies.
- Disseminate product information to sales and customers (including training schedule)
- Position vendor product set as part of product dissemination.
- Track and share market knowledge on competitive brands.
- Keep abreast of latest technology and relevance to Dell Technologies Brand
- Have knowledge of roadmaps and product life cycles
Experience and Knowledge:

Minimum 1-2 years’ IT related experience

Distribution experience is advantageous.
- Working experience in a customer service environment
Skills and Education:
-
Matric with mathematics is essential.

A tertiary degree/diploma is essential, a Sales & Marketing or IT qualification will be advantageous.

Knowledge and understanding of the ICT market will be advantageous.

Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Working late occasionally when required
