Reporting Line: Head of Pre-Sales and Architecting

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in executing and advancing the Enterprise Solutions strategy by leveraging their technical expertise to advise customers, design integrated solutions, and support the achievement of revenue and profit targets. In addition, they will serve as a technology catalyst, trusted advisor, and thought leader, delivering the Enterprise Solutions message through active customer engagement. The primary focus will be on private, public, and hybrid cloud environments, with a particular emphasis on the Nutanix product stack.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Represent Enterprise Solutions and/or vendors at customer engagements and conferences
  • Assist with customer enablement to drive the Enterprise Solutions portfolio value proposition
  • Coach and support fellow Pre-Sales engineers and Sales personnel new to the Enterprise Solutions portfolio
  • Deliver vendor presentations and training to Pinnacle sales teams and the customer landscape
  • Propose and professionally demonstrate Enterprise Solutions portfolio products and solutions through presentations, whiteboarding, demos, and proof-of-concepts
  • Collaborate on the creation and presentation of business cases to all business sponsors (e.g., C-level executives, technical partners) in support of solutions
  • Evangelise the Enterprise Solutions portfolio through customer engagement
  • Establish trust and become entrenched as a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and the Enterprise Solutions product portfolio
  • Build an internal and external business network to ensure sales success and a positive customer experience
  • Participate in tender evaluations, product/solution recommendations, and pricing
  • Price products and solutions accurately according to vendor or customer requirements
  • Support the achievement of Enterprise Solutions portfolio revenue and profit target
  • Achieve applicable industry certifications and ensure they remain current

Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Successful track record in technical Pre-Sales of enterprise infrastructure and software
  • Strong background and understanding of enterprise storage, servers, backup, networking, virtualisation, converged, hyper-converged, and cloud infrastructures
  • 3+ years’ experience in the design of infrastructure solutions
  • Knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure based on Nutanix across private, public, and hybrid cloud will be highly advantageous
  • Demonstrable knowledge of enterprise solution design considerations and tools
  • Technology evangelist with the ability to connect and work with stakeholders across all levels, including C-level

 

Skills and Education:

  •  Matric with Mathematics is essential and a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
  • Appropriate accreditation/certification including one or more convergence technologies
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Good time management and well-organized (i.e., deadline-driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload)
  • Above average computer literacy in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Own transport and valid driver’s license
