Role Description
Location: Midrand, Gauteng South Africa
Full-time and Office based
Reporting Line: Retail Credit Controller
Job Purpose
The purpose of the job is to review and process all retail claims and ensure that supporting documents are correct and accurate.
Overall, the Retail Claims Clerk plays a crucial role in managing customer claims and returns effectively, maintaining customer satisfaction, and upholding the reputation and integrity of Pinnacle.
Recruitment Specialist
- Maintain and update the claims register
- Handle and process retail claims
- Obtain information and documents as required
- Complete the request for credit documents by following the companies’ LOA
- Consult with inter-departments to resolve claims /queries
- Match claims with credit notes
- Liaise and build working relationships with stores
Experience and Knowledge:
- Matric with mathematics is essential
- Previous claims experience will be an advantage
- Basic understanding of account reconciliations
Skills and Education:
- Be able to work in a pressured environment and meet monthly targets
- Excellent communication and people skills are required
- Motivated and willing to go the extra mile
- Above average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent administration skills with attention to detail
- Customer-focused and delivering above-average customer service
- Good negotiation skills
- Good time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload
- Able to complete intermediate calculations and enjoys working with numbers
- Written and verbal communication (convey information through written / verbal instruction)
